This essence is another popular dupe for the well liked SK II Essence in Korea and outside of it.
The main ingredient in this product is galactomyces ferment filtrate, the same type of ferment as in the SK II Essence, but in a higher concentration of 95.7% compared to only 90%. The formula also includes adenosine, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and plant extracts, which help to brighten, soothe as well as hydrate the skin. There are no dyes, fragrance or alcohol in this product, so even people with sensitive skin types can use it.
I will say it upfront; this essence is OK. The results aren’t wowing, but this product makes a subtle difference on my skin. The first morning after using this product, even though I had slept badly, I noticed that my skin looked rested and had a bit of glow to it. This product doesn’t give me the same radiance as Missha’s Essence, but it makes my skin look better. I always struggle to explain what kind of difference a ferment essence does. If you know your skin well and start using one, then you can see those small changes. This product didn’t win my heart, as it slightly makes skin look better. I find it a bit disappointing, as I don’t notice any improvement in regards to hydration, which I usually get from essences. It’s an extra step in my routine that I am willing to do, but I want to get the most out of it. This product has a similar price to Secret Key’s Essence so I would pick that one over this one next time. On a positive side, it doesn’t cause my skin to flush, unlike Primera’s Essence. It also doesn’t clog my pores or cause any troubles.
Overall, it is not a terrible product. The effects aren’t very prominent, and I find it a bit underwhelming. It gives some glow, but I expect more from an essence. I want my skin to feel plump, hydrated, and radiant. This essence isn’t my favourite, but I know many people like it, and it has many glowing reviews on Amazon JP.
